Apollo's Landing

A shortlisted architectural design project proposal for NASA center in Washington D.C, celebrating anniversary of Apollo 11 Moon Landing. Due to limited time and being sole designer, this proposal was more an exploration on design being unique, inspiring, and monumental. All of which would aid my following architectural competition project which also was shortlisted, Wings of San Jose ∀ Silicon Valley. Completed over the course of two months. Submitted December 2019.

Inspired by Greek and Roman monuments to deities, this center would be a monument to the Apollo 11 landing. An artificial moon would house a recreated lunar lander so visitors can actually walk in the footsteps of the Apollo team.

While no specific program for space use was given, an open floor plan would always allow visitors to focus on the final attraction of actually "visiting" the moon.
